Tri County Blue Ribbon Council

Categories: Misc, News and Events, Other

Recently Darkness to Light was asked to participate in a newly formed group of dynamic organizations focusing on abuse prevention and intervention. Our primary reason for coming together was to join efforts in our promoting of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. We are hard at work organizing our events and trainings for the month but are also learning more about each other and how we can better create awareness in our community all year long.

This group is called the Tri-County Blue Ribbon Council (blue ribbons are always associated with National Child Abuse Prevention Month) and the groups involved are Halos, Dee Norton LCC, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Parents Anonymous, Winwood Farm, Carolina Youth Development Center, and D2L. Take the time to check out all of these organizations and what they do. They are amazing! And stay tuned to this blog to find out what exciting things we are doing in April!

  1. Dear Tri-County Blue Ribbon Council,

I am currently in the Masters in Education Program at Webster University in Columbia, South Carolina. I would like to specialize in treating children who have been sexually abused. However, I am having trouble finding conferences and trainings in this field. Are you aware of any programs that offer training certifications? I am willing to travel if necessary.

Thank you very much for your time !

    Sincerely,
    Staci Quan
