Darkness to Light has been named an Official Charity Partner of the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, November 2. The TCS New York City Marathon is the world’s largest marathon, with 55,000+ runners, and is one of 60 youth and adult races produced annually by the nonprofit New York Road Runners (NYRR). Darkness to Light will be among a record total of more than 600 official charity partners providing thousands of runners the opportunity to add meaning to their miles.
New York Road Runners is a mission-driven nonprofit that builds healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running. To support other nonprofits’ missions and services, New York Road Runners’ Official Charity Partner Program gives organizations the opportunity to raise funds by offering guaranteed entry to the TCS New York City Marathon for athletes who fundraise on their behalf. Since its inception in 2006, athletes in New York Road Runners’ Official Charity Partner Program have raised more than $520 million for 1,000+ worthy causes.
This marks the third consecutive year that Darkness to Light has partnered with the TCS New York City Marathon to raise awareness and funds for child sexual abuse prevention.

The 2025 TCS New York City Marathon—the BEST DAY in New York City—will take athletes on a 26.2-mile journey across all five boroughs. The iconic race is one of the most inclusive and accessible sporting events in the world, with the first finisher and the final finisher running the same course on the same day. Last year, the TCS New York City Marathon set an event record and at the time became the largest marathon in history with 55,643 finishers.
This year, Team Darkness to Light will be represented by four dedicated runners, including board member Brandi Andersen.
