How to respond when a child sexual abuse crisis affects your community
Speaker: Patricia Dailey Lewis, Esquire
In 2010, one of the most prolific serial molestation cases broke in the close-knit communities of Lewes and Milford, Delaware. According to the late Attorney General Beau Biden, the charges that were brought about in this indictment were unique in the history of the state of Delaware, a 471-count indictment.
In this session, hear Patricia Dailey-Lewis, the Executive Director of the Beau Biden Foundation who was the deputy attorney general at the time, discusses the devastation that hit the communities where these crimes took place and elaborates on how the communities responded. She will speak to the best practices for crisis response and how, as child advocates in your community, you can help foster the healing a community will need while implementing best practices to prevent child sexual abuse from happening in your community.
