As a survivor herself Shenita is passionate about helping to prevent, educate, and bring awareness to the silent epidemic of child sexual abuse. She knows first hand the lasting emotional and psychological effects that it has. Shenita is a Darkness to Light Authorized Facilitator, CEO of Discover Within Peace and Healing, Life Coach, and Substance Addiction Counselor.
Shenita is also the author of Not Just Another Pretty Face- She takes readers on a journey through her past, recounting her many sexual traumatic experiences and how they scarred her soul, that many suffer at the hands of those they trust and look to for love and security. Shenita uses her traumatic experiences as a stepping stone to help empower other victims to discover their inner strength to overcome life’s most difficult challenges and become the best version of themselves.
