WCIV News 4, Volvo of Charleston, & Keller Williams Realty-Charleston have partnered with Darkness to Light to provide TriCounty citizens with a variety of month-long educational initiatives to train adults with skills necessary to better protect our lowcountry children & youth from child sexual abuse. On Thursday night, August 2nd, WCIV will launch their community-education coverage of child sexual abuse and the Stewards of Children Back-to-School Prevent-a-thon.

Viewing with Friends:"Childhood Stories" Documentary Community members gather together at Wando High School Auditorium to watch WCIV's local broadcast of the D2L produced documentary on child sexual abuse.

8:30-9:00pm WCIV Live broadcast of Panel Discussion & Town Hall Meeting: "Preventing Child Sexual Abuse in the Lowcountry" Audience will be present for the live television broadcast of a 30- minute Panel Discussion & then be invited to ask questions/engage with the panel following the live broadcast. The Town Hall Meeting will continued to be taped for future educational purposes.

This event is geared for all Tricounty citizens (whether or not they have been through the SOC training). Folks can also view the 8-9:00 televised events in their home that evening. However, sharing this viewing experience with friends, witnessing the panel discussion, and then interacting with/ panel participants and each other after the broadcast promises to be a most memorable experience.
